Ulysse Nardin was founded in 1846 by an accomplished Swiss watchmaker of the same name. Early on, the company developed a specialization in marine chronometers, producing highly accurate and reliable instruments that were put to use by over 50 navies, on all five continents.
While modern satellite technology has replaced the marine chronometer and sextant as navigational tools, these watches continue to be sought after by watch collectors and connoisseurs.
